This little domaine with its attendant buildings and cave set among its 6.5 ha of vines lies close to the neighbouring monastery (now Abbey) of Gaussan. They are the only organic growers in the commune and a rarity in the region (certified ECOCERT) and their other products include olive groves and free range hens/eggs
The sparse and clayey soil (classified AOC), and stony ground called ‘terraces’ are commonly considered as the poorest in the commune. Despite this and the very poor yield traditional varieties continue to grow (old Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache Noir, Mourvedres) and produce very scented wines, concentrated and warm. Careful attention to vinification , partially fut en chene (not using new oak) softens their youthful character.
Cave open all year-round
